From this groundbreaking the study, the Zacks Rank was born. This proprietary quantitative model ranks stocks based on four factors: brokerage analyst agreement, magnitude of estimate revisions, upside of recent revisions versus the consensus estimate and the latest earnings surprise.

Rather than just applying a raw score, the model compares how a stock measures up against all other stocks within the Zacks Rank universe. Only the very best 5% are awarded the coveted title of Zacks #1 Rank. These are the stocks with the most bullish earnings estimate revisions.

The Zacks #1 Rank List can only be found on Zacks.com. Updated daily, this valuable list identifies the approximately 220 stocks that are most likely to outperform the broader markets over the next 1-3 months.

Conducting research of this list is as simple as clicking a mouse button. Each ticker symbol is linked to a new quote page that quickly gives you important information such as estimated earnings, valuation and dividend yield. Plus, this quote page includes links to allow you to quickly access financial statements, interactive java charts and more.

The industry group for each stock is also listed. Just click on the name of the industry and you will see all of the companies within a specific industry – and the Zacks Rank for each company within the group.

2. Locate the “Zacks Research” tab at the top of the page and click on it
3. Locate “Zacks Rank” in the menu near the top of the page and click on it
